BrukerId, short for bruker identifikator, is a unique identifier assigned to a user within a system or application. The term is commonly used in Norwegian IT contexts and mirrors the English concept of a user ID or user identifier. A brukerId serves to distinguish one user from another in data records and across services, and is typically used to link user-related data such as profiles, permissions, and activity logs.

In practice, brukerId is often the primary key or a stable reference in databases and identity management workflows. It is distinct from credentials such as passwords or authentication tokens; the ID itself is not a secret, but it is a crucial reference that should be protected within access control mechanisms.
