Bibliaiszentírási refers to the Hungarian term for biblical canonization or the collection of sacred scriptures in Christianity. It pertains to the process by which certain books were recognized as divinely inspired and authoritative for doctrine and practice. The concept of a biblical canon developed over centuries within early Christianity, with significant input from Jewish tradition regarding the Old Testament.

The formation of the New Testament canon was a more gradual process, involving the consensus of early church leaders and communities regarding which writings were truly apostolic and faithfully represented the teachings of Jesus and his followers. Key figures and councils played roles in affirming the accepted books. The list of books included in the Christian canon, particularly the New Testament, became widely accepted by the 4th century CE.

This process distinguished canonical books from other early Christian writings, apocrypha, and pseudepigrapha, which were not deemed authoritative for the Church's teachings.
