Battlestars are a fictional class of capital spaceship featured prominently in the science fiction franchise Battlestar Galactica. These massive warships are designed for prolonged combat and serve as the primary defensive force for the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. The most iconic battlestar is the Galactica, a veteran vessel from the First Cylon War.
