Antikorrosive refers to any substance or treatment that prevents or significantly slows down the process of corrosion. Corrosion is a natural electrochemical process that degrades materials, most commonly metals, through chemical or electrochemical reactions with their environment. Antikorrosive measures are employed across a vast range of industries and applications to protect valuable assets and ensure their longevity and functionality.

These substances can work through various mechanisms. Some, known as inhibitors, form a protective film on the surface of the material, acting as a barrier against corrosive agents like oxygen, water, and acids.
