Critiques note challenges in enforcement, the tension with freedom of expression and religion, and debates over whether targeted measures are necessary or effective. Proponents argue that robust antidiscrimination regimes are essential for social cohesion and equal opportunity, while critics caution against overreach or insufficient consideration of context.
