anodowy

Anodowy is a Polish adjective meaning "anodic" or "related to an anode." In technical usage it describes electrodes, processes, currents, potentials and surface treatments associated with an anode—the site of oxidation in an electrochemical system. The precise electrical polarity of an anode depends on context: in galvanic (voltaic) cells the anode is the negative electrode where oxidation occurs, while in electrolytic cells it is the positive electrode. In semiconductor and vacuum devices, "anodowy" typically refers to the anode terminal or plate.
