Andmebaasiserver is a web-based application of the Estonian government that provides access to the Estonian population registry database. The system was developed by the Estonian Information System Authority and is used to manage and maintain the national population register. It serves as an interface for various government agencies, organizations, and private businesses to access relevant information regarding the Estonian population.

The andmebaasiserver system offers a range of services, including data exchange, services for customers, and integration with other systems. Users can access Personal Identification Code (PIC) data, place of residence, birth and death data, as well as data on naturalizations and marriages. The system integrates with other Estonian government databases, such as the Estonian tax and customs board,antee services, and Biocid database.

Data available through andmebaasiserver can be divided into two parts: personal data of an individual, and organizational data of a company. Personal data allow individuals access to their own information, whereas organizational data allow business partners to access information about companies. Possible authentication and authorization methods include mobile identity card, Card and Personal ID code, Mobile-ID account and smart-ID account.

The system is designed to ensure data security through the use of various encryption methods, secure communication protocols, and distributed database architecture. This makes it difficult for unauthorized access to occur. The system provides real-time validation and provides updates to information on a real-time basis.
