Amplitude modulation, often abbreviated as AM, is a modulation technique used in electronic communication, most commonly for transmitting information via a radio carrier wave. The technique involves varying the amplitude of the carrier wave in proportion to the message signal being transmitted. However, it is susceptible to noise and interference, which can affect the amplitude of the signal and be misinterpreted as part of the message.
