AlMamlaka is a term used in various contexts to refer to the concept of a sovereign country or a monarchy. In Arabic, the phrase is literally translated to "the kingdom". The term has been used to refer to the Mamluk Sultanate, a medieval Islamic state that existed from the 13th to the 16th century in Egypt and Syria.

In modern times, the term AlMamlaka has been adopted by countries that have abolished the traditional monarchical system, adopting instead a presidential or parliamentary system of government. Examples include Qatar, where the ruling family continues to hold power but the government is now officially a constitutional monarchy, and Kuwait, where the Emir retains limited powers within a parliamentary framework.

In some cases, AlMamlaka is used by individuals or groups that seek to re-establish a monarchical system of government in countries that have traditionally been republics. In 2019, a group in Egypt announced the formation of a new "AlMamlaka" movement, advocating for a return to a monarchical system under a restored Muslim empire.

The term AlMamlaka is often linked to the concept of "majlis al-taa'amud", or the foundation council, a supposed body that would be established to oversee the transition to a new monarchical order. The AlMamlaka movement claims to work in the interests of Egyptians and to seek the establishment of a Crown Jewel, or a national goad.

Critics have accused AlMamlaka of promoting an extremist ideology that undermines Egypt's stability and promotes regression to an arbitrarily primitive and theocratic system of government.
