algusaja
Algusaja is a term in Estonian meaning the starting time of an event, process, or data record. It is used in scheduling, timekeeping and computing to denote the moment something begins. The term is a compound of algus ("beginning") and aeg ("time"). It is commonly used in calendars, timetables, event planning and computer systems to indicate the moment at which an event or process starts. In everyday Estonian speech one might say "koosoleku algusaeg on kell 10" or "projekti algusaeg on 1. märts". In computing and data networks, algusaeg is a timestamp field that records the initiation moment of an event, such as a log entry, job or transaction. Such timestamps may be stored in local time or Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), and are often formatted according to ISO 8601, for example 2026-01-01T10:00:00Z or 2026-01-01T10:00:00+02:00.
In scheduling and transport, algusaeg helps coordinate sequences and durations, and is a basic element in time-based
