Airsickness is a form of motion sickness that occurs during air travel. It is caused by a sensory conflict between what the eyes see and what the inner ear's vestibular system detects. The inner ear senses motion, but if the eyes do not perceive movement, such as when looking at a stable interior of an aircraft cabin, this discrepancy can trigger symptoms.
