Agenttimalleilla is a monotypic genus of insect described in 2023 within the family Pentatomidae, commonly known as stink bugs. The sole species, Agenttimalleilla singularis, was first identified in the lowland forests of northeastern Brazil. Morphologically, it resembles other pentatomids but exhibits unique morphological traits; adults possess a distinctly elongated rostrum that extends nearly twice the length of the pronotum, and their dorsal surface displays a series of pale, translucent spots arranged in a lattice pattern. The species is primarily nocturnal, feeding on the sap of flowering vines in the Apocynaceae family.

The etymology of the genus name reflects the work of entomologist Dr. Maria L. T. Sen, who has extensively published on insect chemical defenses. "Agent" refers to the specialized odoriferous glands lateral to the thorax, while "timalleilla" is a corruption of the Latin phrase *tam illa*, meaning "to such an extent," emphasizing the pronounced secretion. Initial ecological studies suggest that the odor produced serves as a deterrent to local ungulate herbivores, though its precise chemical composition remains under investigation.

Known range includes the Atlantic Forest and adjacent cerrado ecosystems, with population densities of roughly 12 individuals per hectare. Conservation status has not yet been formally assessed, but habitat fragmentation and pesticide use present ongoing threats. Further research is needed to determine the full ecological role of Agenttimalleilla singularis and its potential applications in pest control research.
