Aeroallergeeneja is a term used in speculative discussion to denote a class of aerosolized allergens present in the atmosphere. It is a neologism formed from aero (air), allergeen (allergen), and the suffix -ja to suggest a category. It is not an established term in allergology or atmospheric science.

Proposed sources include biological particles such as pollen fragments, fungal spores, and bacterial or microbial fragments, as well as anthropogenic contributions such as exhaust particles from aircraft, agricultural dust, and urban bioaerosols. In hypothetical models, aeroallergeeneja particles could form through processes that uplift, suspend, and transform allergenic material in the air, including wind resuspension, combustion byproducts, and atmospheric ageing.

Detection and study are currently limited to exploratory work. Researchers might use air sampling, immunoassays targeting allergen proteins, PCR for allergen genes, proteomics, and aerosol modelling to identify potential aeroallergeeneja signatures. However, there is no standardized definition or measurement protocol, and findings remain tentative. The concept is used mainly as a framework to discuss how aeroallergens could vary with weather, traffic, and urban intensification.

In health and policy conversations, aeroallergeeneja is not a recognised category with regulatory status. If validated, it could have implications for exposure assessment, urban planning, and allergen risk forecasting, though substantial research would be needed to establish relevance, exposure thresholds, and mitigation strategies.
