Adaptálásában, or "adaptation" in Hungarian, refers to the process by which organisms, populations, or species adjust to changes in their environment to enhance their survival and reproductive success. This biological concept is a fundamental principle in evolutionary biology, describing how traits become more common in a population when they confer advantages under specific conditions.

The process of adaptation occurs through natural selection, where individuals with heritable traits that improve fitness—such as resistance to disease, better camouflage, or increased efficiency in resource use—are more likely to survive and reproduce.
