Zsírtárolás refers to the biological process by which organisms store energy in the form of fat. This is a fundamental mechanism for survival, providing a reserve of fuel that can be accessed during periods of fasting, increased energy expenditure, or scarcity of food. In mammals, fat is primarily stored in adipose tissue, which is composed of specialized cells called adipocytes.
