Zinkbeläggning
Zinkbeläggning refers to the application of a zinc coating to a metal surface, typically steel, to provide corrosion protection. This process is also known as galvanizing. The most common method is hot-dip galvanizing, where the steel is immersed in a bath of molten zinc. The molten zinc forms a metallurgical bond with the steel, creating a barrier that prevents rust. Even if the coating is scratched, the zinc will continue to protect the steel through a sacrificial galvanic action, corroding preferentially to the steel.
Electroplating is another method used for zinc coating, where zinc is deposited onto the steel using an
The primary benefit of zinkbeläggning is its excellent corrosion resistance, significantly extending the lifespan of steel
