Zielwegen

Zielwegen is a municipality and village in the fictional country of Veridia, situated in the central Lowlands near the Veridian River. It covers about 60 square kilometers and includes the village and several small hamlets.

The name combines Germanic elements: Ziel meaning "goal" or "aim" and Wegen meaning "ways" or "roads," reflecting a historic crossroads through the area.

First mentioned in the 13th century, Zielwegen developed as a rural market site within various feudal territories before joining the Veridian state in the 19th century; the 20th century brought modernization while retaining its rural character.

Zielwegen lies on a flat, fertile plain with loamy soils and a network of drainage canals. The Veridian River forms the northern boundary and wetlands support wildlife.
