Ziektvorm

Ziektvorm is a term used in Dutch-language medical literature to denote a clinically recognizable presentation or phenotype of a disease. It refers to the observable pattern of signs, symptoms, disease course, and response to treatment that characterizes a particular clinical form, rather than to a single etiological category. The term is formed from ziekte (disease) and vorm (form).

In practice, Ziektvorm is used to describe how a disease manifests in a given patient or group

Limitations include potential overlap between forms, observer bias, and instability over time as diseases evolve. Critics
