Zhentil

Zhentil is a fictional city located in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting of Dungeons & Dragons. It is situated on the northern shores of the Moonsea in the continent of Faerûn. Zhentil is known as the primary stronghold of the Zhentarim, a powerful and often villainous organization focused on acquiring wealth and power through any means necessary. The city's history is marked by periods of great prosperity and devastating destruction, notably the cataclysmic magical event that nearly obliterated it, leaving behind the scarred ruins known as Zhentil Keep.

Despite its near destruction, the Zhentarim have worked to rebuild and maintain control over Zhentil. The city is characterized by a pervasive atmosphere of suspicion and ruthlessness, reflecting the nature of its ruling organization. Its inhabitants are often hardened individuals, accustomed to a life of intrigue, combat, and the constant struggle for dominance. Zhentil serves as a focal point for much of the Zhentarim's operations, including trade, mercenary activities, and their pursuit of dark magic. Its strategic location on the Moonsea has also made it a key player in regional politics and conflicts.
