Zetetes

Zetetes was a figure in Greek mythology, known as one of the Argonauts who accompanied Jason on his quest for the Golden Fleece. He was the son of Boreas, the god of the north wind, and Oreithyia, a princess of Athens. Zetetes, along with his twin brother Calais, possessed the ability to fly, a gift inherited from their divine father. Their winged presence was a distinct characteristic among the heroes on the Argo.

During the voyage of the Argonauts, Zetetes and Calais played a crucial role, particularly in their encounter with the Harpies. The Harpies were monstrous creatures who tormented the blind prophet Phineus, stealing and defiling his food. When the Argonauts arrived, Phineus promised to reveal the path to Colchis if they would rid him of the Harpies. Zetetes and Calais, using their speed and winged advantage, pursued and drove away the Harpies, thus fulfilling their part of the bargain. This act showcased their bravery and the utility of their unique abilities in the Argonauts' perilous journey.
