Zelnorm
Zelnorm, with the generic name tegaserod, is a medication that was primarily used to treat irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) in women under the age of 65. It belongs to a class of drugs known as selective serotonin 5-HT4 receptor agonists. By stimulating these receptors in the gut, Zelnorm was believed to increase intestinal motility and secretion, thereby relieving constipation and abdominal pain associated with IBS-C.
