Zeilenleitungen

Zeilenleitungen, also known as transmission lines, are electrical circuits designed to efficiently carry electrical energy or signals over a distance. Unlike simple wires that might exhibit resistive losses and signal distortion over longer lengths, zeilenleitungen are constructed to minimize these effects. This is achieved by carefully controlling their electrical properties, specifically their characteristic impedance.

The characteristic impedance of a zeilenleitung is determined by its physical construction, including the geometry and spacing of the conductors, as well as the dielectric properties of the material separating them.
