Zanpakut

Zanpakutō, often abbreviated as Zanpakuto, is a term from the Bleach series, a popular Japanese manga and anime franchise created by Tite Kubo. The term translates to "Hollow Slayer" in English, and it refers to the spiritual swords wielded by Soul Reapers, the main protagonists of the series. Each Zanpakutō is unique to its user and is imbued with the user's spiritual energy, known as Reishi. The sword's form, abilities, and name are determined by the user's personality and desires.

The Zanpakutō is a central element of the Bleach universe, serving as a symbol of the Soul Reaper's power and identity. It is not merely a weapon but an extension of the user's soul, capable of performing various tasks beyond combat, such as healing, communication, and even manipulating the environment. The sword's true form, known as the "Release" or "Bankai," is a more powerful and often more destructive state that the user can enter when their life is in danger.

The Zanpakutō's name and abilities are often revealed through a process called "Shikai," where the user's soul is temporarily separated from their body and manifests as a spectral form. This form is usually a humanoid shape, but it can vary greatly depending on the user's personality and desires. For example, Ichigo Kurosaki's Zanpakutō, Zangetsu, can heal wounds and even resurrect the dead.
