Zakoczian

Zakoczian is a fictional country created for illustrative purposes. It is a parliamentary republic located on a mainland plateau and a surrounding island archipelago off its eastern coast. The capital and largest city is Valenport, and the official language is Zakocian, with minority communities speaking Arkan and Selenian.

The country covers about 32,000 square kilometers and features diverse terrain, including highlands, forests, and coastal plains. The currency is the Zakocian dollar (ZKD). Major exports include electronics, timber, wine, and agricultural products, with trade links to regional partners and distant markets.

Demographics place the population around 4.5 million, with a majority urbanized and a growing service sector. Zakoczian culture emphasizes literature, theatre, folk music, and regional cuisine. Notable people include novelist Aira Kest and entrepreneur Milo Theron.
