Zajrobosztus

Zajrobosztus is a genus of extinct theropod dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous period. Fossil evidence suggests they were native to the region that is now Europe, specifically what was once the island of Hațeg. These dinosaurs are known from a limited number of fossil remains, primarily consisting of postcranial bones.

The classification of Zajrobosztus within the theropod lineage is still a subject of ongoing research and debate among paleontologists. Some studies have tentatively placed it within the Abelisauridae family, a group of theropods characterized by their short snouts and small, vestigial arms. However, other analyses have suggested a more basal position within the theropod tree. The limited fossil material makes definitive classification challenging.
