Yrittäjän

Yrittäjän is the genitive form of the Finnish noun yrittäjä, which means entrepreneur. A yrittäjä is a person who starts and runs a business, often a small enterprise or a self-employed activity, and who bears responsibility for its success or failure. The term also covers sole traders and independent professionals.

The entrepreneur's role includes recognizing opportunities, organizing resources, obtaining financing, and making strategic and day-to-day decisions. Unlike an employee, a yrittäjä bears commercial risk and handles bookkeeping, marketing, sales, and regulatory compliance.
