Yonagunispråken

Yonagunispråken refers to the linguistic situation on Yonaguni Island, part of the Yaeyama Islands in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Historically, Yonaguni has had its own distinct language, Yonaguni (also known as Dunan). This language is a member of the Ryukyuan language family, which is distinct from Japanese.

Yonaguni language shares some similarities with other Ryukyuan languages but also possesses unique features. It has traditionally been passed down through oral tradition.
