Yeghegnadzor
Yeghegnadzor is the capital of Vayots Dzor Province in southeastern Armenia. The town is situated in a mountainous basin at an elevation of about 1,230 metres (4,040 feet) above sea level, surrounded by the rugged Armenian highlands and the canyon floors of the Debed River. According to the 2011 census, the population was approximately 7,300 inhabitants, though estimates in 2020 place the number near 9,000. The municipality also includes a few surrounding rural settlements.
