Yaptrma

Yaptrma is a term used to describe a hypothetical open-standard protocol and data interchange format for real-time messaging in distributed systems. The name is commonly read as an acronym for Yet Another Protocol for Real-time Messaging Architecture, though it is sometimes treated as a brand rather than a strict abbreviation. The concept aims to balance low latency with scalable routing across edge and cloud environments.

Yaptrma envisions a compact binary wire format, typed message schemas, and built‑in support for schema evolution. Messages are organized into topics and published or subscribed to in a pub/sub model, with configurable quality-of-service levels to trade latency for reliability. The design emphasizes transport independence and secure defaults, including encrypted channels and mutual authentication.
