YOT

Yot is a term with multiple meanings across languages and domains. It is not a single, universal definition in English, but rather a set of distinct uses that may appear in linguistic, administrative, or branding contexts.

In Hebrew and related linguistic discussions, the tenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is commonly named yod (also rendered yodh). In some older or non-standard transliterations, the letter may appear as "yot." The character denotes a consonant sound like the English /j/ in "yes" and has a numeric value of 10 in Hebrew gematria.

YOT is also an acronym used in the United Kingdom for a Youth Offending Team, a local, multi-agency response to youth crime. YOTs bring together police, probation, social services, education, and health services to assess and design interventions for young people aged roughly 10 to 17 or 18 who have committed offences, with the aim of reducing reoffending.

Beyond these uses, "YOT" may appear as an abbreviation within various organizations, brands, or place names, but there is no single globally recognized definition beyond the two primary senses described here.
