Xilinhot

Xilinhot, also spelled Xilinhot, is a county-level city in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. It serves as the administrative seat of Xilingol League and is one of the region’s major urban centers on the eastern Inner Mongolian plains.

Geography and climate: The city sits on the Xilin River valley within the Xilingol grassland, a broad steppe ecosystem known for pastoralism. The area experiences a temperate continental climate with long, cold winters and short, warm summers, and most precipitation falls in the summer months.
