Wuhou

Wuhou is a district of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, China. It lies in the southern part of the city and forms part of Chengdu’s central urban area. The district is named after Zhuge Liang, the renowned statesman and strategist who held the title of Marquis of Wu (Wu Hou) during the Three Kingdoms period.

The name Wuhou is closely associated with the Wuhou Shrine (Wuhou Ci), a temple complex established to honor Zhuge Liang and other figures from the Shu Han state.
