Epiphora, conversely, repeats a word or phrase at the end of successive clauses or sentences. Symploce combines anaphora and epiphora by repeating a word at the beginning of one clause and the same word at the end of another. Epanalepsis repeats a word at the beginning and end of the same sentence or clause.
