Whitlams

The Whitlams are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1992. The core members throughout much of their career have been Timomatic, the lead singer and songwriter, along with Stevie Plunder on guitar and backing vocals, and Danny O'Halloran on drums. The band's music is characterized by its lyrical wit, often poignant or observational storytelling, combined with a blend of piano-driven rock and indie sensibilities.

The Whitlams gained significant popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hit singles such as "You Sound Like a Broken Record," "Thank You (for Loving Me at My Worst)," and "Blow Up the Pokies." Their albums, including "Eternal Nightcap" (1997) and "Love This City" (2000), achieved commercial success and critical acclaim, earning them ARIA Awards and a dedicated following.
