WechselstromLadestationen
WechselstromLadestationen, also known as AC charging stations, are devices used to charge electric vehicles using alternating current (AC). These stations convert the AC power from the electrical grid into a form that the vehicle's onboard charger can utilize. Unlike direct current (DC) fast chargers, AC charging stations rely on the vehicle's internal charging electronics to manage the power conversion. This generally results in slower charging speeds compared to DC fast chargers. AC charging stations are often found in homes, workplaces, and public parking areas where longer charging times are acceptable. They are typically categorized by their charging power, commonly referred to as Level 2 charging, which provides a higher rate of charge than standard household outlets (Level 1). The charging cable connects the station to the vehicle's charging port. The communication between the charging station and the electric vehicle ensures a safe and efficient charging process.
