Weah

Weah is a surname of Liberian origin that is most associated with George Weah, a Liberian former professional footballer and politician who has served as the president of Liberia since 2018, and his son Timothy Weah, an American international footballer.

George Weah (born 1966 in Monrovia) played as a forward for clubs including AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain, and AC Milan, later having spells with Chelsea, Manchester City, and Al Jazira. He won the Ballon d’Or in 1995 and was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1995. He represented Liberia at the international level and is regarded as one of Africa’s greatest footballers.
