WLAN5G refers to wireless local area network (WLAN) technology operating in the 5 GHz frequency band. This is distinct from the 2.4 GHz band commonly used by older Wi-Fi standards. The 5 GHz band offers several advantages, including a larger number of available channels and less interference from other devices like microwaves and Bluetooth. This generally leads to faster data transmission speeds and lower latency, making it suitable for bandwidth-intensive applications such as streaming high-definition video and online gaming.
However, 5 GHz signals have a shorter range and are less effective at penetrating solid objects like
