Võtmetulemus

Võtmetulemus, a term derived from Estonian, translates to "key result" in English. It is a core component of the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework, a popular goal-setting methodology. OKRs are designed to help organizations and individuals define ambitious goals and track their progress toward achieving them.

In the OKR framework, an Objective is a qualitative, aspirational goal. It describes what you want to achieve. A Key Result, on the other hand, is a quantitative, measurable outcome that indicates progress towards the Objective. Key Results should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). They are the metrics that determine whether the Objective has been successfully met.

For example, if an Objective is "Improve customer satisfaction," a Key Result might be "Increase the Net Promoter Score (NPS) from 40 to 60 by the end of the quarter." Without clearly defined and measurable Võtmetulemused, it is difficult to objectively assess progress and determine the success of an Objective. They provide a clear roadmap and a basis for evaluating performance, fostering accountability, and driving focus on what truly matters.
