Vérellátáscsökkenés, also known as ischemia, is a medical condition characterized by a reduction in blood flow to a specific organ or tissue. This diminished blood supply can lead to a lack of oxygen and essential nutrients, which are vital for the proper functioning and survival of cells. The severity and duration of the ischemia determine the extent of damage.

Ischemia can be caused by various factors, including blockages in blood vessels due to atherosclerosis (plaque buildup), blood clots (thrombosis or embolism), or external compression of the vessels. In some cases, it can also result from a generalized decrease in blood pressure or inadequate cardiac output.
