Väärälaidan

Väärälaidan is a Finnish term that translates to "wrong side" or "wrong lane." It is primarily used in the context of traffic regulations and refers to a vehicle being driven on the incorrect side of the road. In Finland, like in most of Europe, traffic drives on the right side of the road. Driving on the left side is considered driving on the väärä laita and is a serious traffic violation.

The offense of väärälaidan can occur in various situations. It can happen unintentionally due to driver confusion, disorientation, or inexperience, especially in unfamiliar areas or during poor visibility conditions like fog or heavy rain.
