Vävnadstrycket

Vävnadstrycket refers to the pressure exerted by blood within the tissues of the body. While blood pressure is typically measured in the arteries or veins, vävnadstrycket describes the interstitial fluid pressure that surrounds cells and blood vessels within the tissue itself. This pressure is a dynamic value influenced by several factors, including the volume of interstitial fluid, the elasticity of the surrounding tissue, and the permeability of the capillary walls.

The interstitial fluid plays a crucial role in nutrient and waste exchange between the blood and the cells. Vävnadstrycket helps to regulate the movement of fluid across the capillary membranes. For instance, a higher vävnadstryck can oppose the filtration of fluid out of the capillaries, while a lower vävnadstryck can facilitate it.
