Värvituvast
Värvituvast, often translated as color detection or color sensing, refers to the ability of a system or organism to distinguish between different colors. In humans, this ability is primarily mediated by specialized photoreceptor cells in the retina called cones. There are three types of cones, each sensitive to different wavelengths of light, corresponding roughly to red, green, and blue. The brain interprets the combined signals from these cones to perceive the full spectrum of visible colors.
