Väljalasketaktid
Väljalasketaktid refers to the exhaust stroke in an internal combustion engine. It is one of the four fundamental strokes in a typical four-stroke engine cycle, alongside intake, compression, and power. During the exhaust stroke, the piston moves upwards from its bottom dead center position towards the top dead center. Simultaneously, the exhaust valve opens, allowing the burnt gases from the combustion chamber to be expelled out of the cylinder and into the exhaust system. This process is crucial for clearing the cylinder of spent gases to make room for the fresh fuel-air mixture that will enter during the subsequent intake stroke. The efficiency of the exhaust stroke directly impacts the engine's overall performance, as incomplete expulsion of exhaust gases can lead to reduced power output and increased emissions. The timing and duration of the exhaust valve opening are precisely controlled by the camshaft.
