Választípusok refer to the various electoral systems used to determine how voters cast their ballots and how seats are allocated in legislative bodies. These systems vary globally, influencing representation and political outcomes.

Majoritarian systems, such as first-past-the-post (FPTP), award seats to the candidate with the most votes in a district, often leading to single-party dominance. Proportional representation (PR) systems allocate seats based on party vote shares, ensuring broader representation across parties. Mixed systems combine FPTP for some seats and PR for others, balancing local representation with proportional outcomes.

Other variants include cumulative voting, which allows voters to distribute multiple votes among candidates in a district, enhancing minority representation. Single non-transferable vote (SNTV) and party-list PR are additional methods, each with distinct mechanisms for seat allocation.
