Vybudovaly

Vybudovaly is a Czech verb form that denotes a completed past action. It is the past tense, feminine plural form of the perfective verb vybudovat, which means to build or to construct. In Czech, past tense forms agree with the subject in gender and number, so vybudovaly is used when the subject is feminine and plural.

From a grammatical perspective, vybudovat is formed with the prefix vy- added to the imperfective root budovat, yielding the finished sense of “to build, to have built.” The past tense is then expressed through participle concord with the subject: vybudovaly for feminine plural; vybudovali for masculine or mixed-gender plural; vybudovala for feminine singular; vybudoval for masculine singular, and so on. It implies that the building activity is viewed as finished. In contrast, vybudovali would be used for a group including men or a masculine group, and vybudovala for a single woman.
