Vorangestellt is a linguistics term used in German grammar to describe a constituent that has been moved to the front of a clause. It derives from the verb voranstellen, meaning to place in front. In grammar, a fronted element is said to be in the Vorfeld, the initial position before the finite verb, and is often employed for emphasis, topicalization, or given-new information.

The phenomenon can involve different types of elements, such as noun phrases, prepositional phrases, or entire subordinate clauses. Examples include fronting a noun phrase: Das Buch hat er gestern gelesen. Here, Das Buch occupies the Vorfeld to highlight the object.
