Volcanosedimentary deposits refer to geological formations composed of a mixture of volcanic and sedimentary materials. These deposits form through the interaction between volcanic processes—such as eruptions, lava flows, and ashfall—and sedimentary processes like weathering, erosion, transportation, and deposition. The resulting strata often exhibit characteristics of both volcanic and sedimentary rocks, reflecting their dual origin.
