Vokalaudsläppet, a term originating from Danish, translates to "vocal release" or "vocal shedding." It refers to the period during puberty when the voice of a male undergoes significant changes. This transformation is a natural part of the maturation process, driven by hormonal shifts. As testosterone levels increase, the larynx, or voice box, grows larger, and the vocal cords thicken and lengthen. This results in a deeper pitch and a noticeable cracking or breaking of the voice, which can be unpredictable and sometimes humorous.
