Voilà

Voilà is a French interjection used to draw attention to something that has just been presented or completed. It translates roughly as “there it is,” “there you go,” or “here it is.” The expression comes from the combination of voir (to see) and là (there), and it functions as a cue that a result, explanation, or object is now in view.

In English-language usage, voilà is commonly borrowed from French and is typically written with the accent on the a, though many Anglophone writers omit the diacritic. It is often used to signal the completion of an action, to introduce a conclusion, or to present a thing with a sense of emphasis or neatness.

Voilà is also the name of an open-source software project in the Project Jupyter ecosystem. Voilà turns Jupyter notebooks into standalone web applications, rendering interactive dashboards and data visualizations while hiding the underlying code. It supports widgets built with ipywidgets and other interactive elements, allowing users to interact with analyses directly in a web browser. Voilà can be run locally or deployed on servers, making notebook-based data apps more accessible to non-programmers without exposing the notebook’s code.
