Vinschgau
Vinschgau, or Val Venosta in Italian, is a long, narrow valley in the western part of South Tyrol, northern Italy. It follows the Adige river from the Reschen Pass at the northern border with Austria southward to the town of Merano, forming the westernmost segment of the Adige valley. The valley is bounded by the Ötztal Alps to the north and the Ortler Group to the south, offering a mountain landscape with a relatively warm climate in the lower reaches.
